1 3/4" Classic Tan
Our 1 3/4" wide tan leather belt is handmade in London, cut from vegetable tanned leather, and at 44 mm, it's great for making a statement.
We use sustainably sourced 3.5 mm thick full grain leather, selected because the gentle tanning process beautifully preserves the natural grain and texture, resulting in a truly individual tan leather jeans belt.
When browsing buckles, make a selection from the drop-down menu and the picture will change to match. All of our buckles are nickel-free; either (plated) brass, or Zamak - an aluminium, brass, and zinc alloy.
Constructed using press studs for buckle swapping - a quick and easy way to swap styles and get even more life out of your belt - you can pick up an extra buckle here.
Subtly embossed on the inside, you'll see our logo alongside our 25 year Warranty Snips; a mark guaranteeing this belt will provide you with a lifetimes worth of wear. You can read all about our Classic Belt Warranty on our website here.
This timeless womens wide tan belt is also available in black and brown, as well as the even bolder 2" tan real leather belt, along with a range of widths to suit all loop and sizes - please browse our full range of Classics here.
Handmade using leather from sustainability approved tanneries (Leather Working Group) we choose low impact veg tanning for these, which is more natural, unpolished finish, showcasing the organic nature of the material for a unique belt which wears beautifully with time.
To find your perfect fit, please take a look at the size guide here.
To figure out your perfect fit, measure a well fitting belt from the place at which the buckle is attached to the most used hole.
Alternatively, if you do have a tape measure to hand, measure over your trousers, exactly as you would wear the belt - which allows for the added bulk of the trousers.
The leather we use for our classic belts is low maintenance and easy to care for. Most small scratches can be polished out with a clean, soft cloth.
If you feel it’s in need of some extra affection, you might like to use a leather conditioner. Anything with beeswax or natural oils is best. Feel free to get in touch for our own recommendation.
We do not recommend using a coloured conditioner, as there is a high risk of colour transfer onto clothes. A neutral one will rejuvenate the colour slightly without the risk of damage.
The buckles we use for our classic belts are Brass or Zamak which shines up well with typical metal polishes. Always test the polish in an inconspicuous place first.
All of our leather is supplied by tanneries who are audited and certified by the Leather Working Group.
The Leather Working Group is the world’s largest leather sustainability program. LWG has identified environmental best practices in the industry and audits tanneries to assess the environmental performance of leather manufacturing facilities – and certifies those that meet the standards.
The leather used for our Belts is supplied by a Tuscan tannery that has a Silver Rating from the LWG, as well as being a member of The Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium.
The Consortium’s mission is to safeguard the centuries-old tradition of vegetable tanning and to guarantee the quality of the raw material and workmanship. The Consortium guarantees manufacturing processes compatible with the ecosystem and not harmful to people.
