Brown Leather Turnlock Shoulder Bag

This understated elegant brown leather crossbody bag is been made in London by a member of our small team.

Measuring 23 cm wide by 25 cm, with a depth of 8 cm. The front flap covers a flat 16 x 16 cm pocket, fastened with a sleek chrome finish turnlock to allow for secure and quick access.

Each of these small batch handmade leather bags are completed with solid brass slides and D-rings and a robust yet soft brown webbing strap adjustable between 82 cm and 138 cm.

For this simple and versatile brown leather messenger bag, we have chosen a supple vegetable tanned leather from Italy; a more natural tanning process which results in a truly unique finish, one which really showcases and preserves the organic grain and texture, producing a characterful leather which will wear beautifully with age and use. The leather is free of any heavy finishes or top coats, so may transfer colour onto light clothing at first, until a natural patina is developed.

An excellent everyday companion, this design is also available in Black and Tan.

We also create a smaller Flat Turnlock style using the same natural rustic leather in Black, Brown and Tan

Missouri - The leather we choose is vegetable tanned, which means it is produced in the most natural way possible. This highlights the natural grain and texture, as well as growth marks and scars, beautifully preserving the organic story of the material.

Chroma/Roam Our colourful leather accessories are very low maintenance; try to avoid getting them completely wet, and they can be cleaned with a soft brush, or a damp cloth. Designed to be durable, the solid colour finish can conceal a few more bashes than the natural grain leather but they never say no to a good going over with a leather cleaner and a clean cloth.

There are sealant sprays available, which do help protect your leather goods and can also help protect colour transfer onto lighter coloured clothing.

Missouri - A full grain, natural finish, this leather's charm comes as it is used, aged, and gathers memories.

We’d recommend a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth to give it a gentle clean, and most small scratches can be polished out with a clean, soft cloth. If you feel it’s in need of some extra affection, you might like to use a leather conditioner - look out for one containing beeswax and/or natural oils.

Try not to let your bag get wet, if it does, towel it and then allow it to dry naturally - away from heaters - and it might be worth giving it a little condition after.

To us, it’s important that the leather we use aligns with our values. Alongside creating long lasting, timeless products, we ensure we minimise our impact on the planet, by crafting our pieces responsibly.

All of our leather is supplied by tanneries who are audited and certified by the Leather Working Group.

The Leather Working Group is the world’s largest leather sustainability program. LWG has identified environmental best practices in the industry and audits tanneries to assess the environmental performance of leather manufacturing facilities – and certifies those that meet the standards.
