A classic black leather belt for jeans, 1 1/2" (38 mm) wide and handmade using sustainably sourced full grain leather. Our buckles are nickel free and attached with press studs to easily mix up your style and extend it's wear.

Our Classic 1 1/2" (38 mm) wide black leather belt is a time honoured favourite. A standard width belt for jeans, the full grain leather chosen is for it's unique natural grain and texture - these belts age beautifully.

As ever, handmade in London using sustainably sourced vegetable tanned leather, at 3.5 mm thickness.

The buckle is attached with heavy duty press studs; a secure fitting that still gives you the option to easily swap and change buckles - adding versatility and extending it's wear. Our buckles are all nickel free and Italian or UK sourced.

Stamped next to our logo, you'll notice our 25 year Warranty Snips - guaranteeing you a lifetimes worth of wear.

The leather we choose is vegetable tanned, which means it is produced in the most natural way possible. This beautifully preserves the organic past life of the material, highlighting the natural grain and texture, as well as the occasional growth marks or surface imperfections.

- 1 1/2" (38mm) wide.

- 3.5mm thick full grain vegetable tanned leather from Italy.

- Buckles are Nickel free; brass or zamak.

- Press studs to swap out buckles.

- 25 Year Warranty.

- Handmade in London.

To figure out your perfect fit, measure a well fitting belt from the place at which the buckle is attached to the most used hole.

Alternatively, if you do have a tape measure to hand, measure over your trousers, exactly as you would wear the belt - which allows for the added bulk of the trousers.

The leather we use for our classic belts is low maintenance and easy to care for. Most small scratches can be polished out with a clean, soft cloth.

If you feel it’s in need of some extra affection, you might like to use a leather conditioner. Anything with beeswax or natural oils is best. Feel free to get in touch for our own recommendation.

We do not recommend using a coloured conditioner, as there is a high risk of colour transfer onto clothes. A neutral one will rejuvenate the colour slightly without the risk of damage.

The buckles we use for our classic belts are Brass or Zamak which shines up well with typical metal polishes. Always test the polish in an inconspicuous place first.

All of our leather is supplied by tanneries who are audited and certified by the Leather Working Group.

The Leather Working Group is the world’s largest leather sustainability program. LWG has identified environmental best practices in the industry and audits tanneries to assess the environmental performance of leather manufacturing facilities – and certifies those that meet the standards.

The leather used for our Belts is supplied by a Tuscan tannery that has a Silver Rating from the LWG, as well as being a member of The Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium.

The Consortium’s mission is to safeguard the centuries-old tradition of vegetable tanning and to guarantee the quality of the raw material and workmanship. The Consortium guarantees manufacturing processes compatible with the ecosystem and not harmful to people.
